One of the primary ways that you can tell that it’s nearly the end of the year (other than looking at the date of course) is when all your suppliers and account managers ask when it’s your last day of work.
Everyone is so excited about this last day before the Christmas break, it has almost mystical significance in the minds of workers around the country. This day is revered almost as much as Grand Final Day in Victoria, with people looking forward to it in earnest. (It’s only 8.5 working days for me, but who’s counting?).
Other signs, the brainwashing Christmas carols that bore into your brain as you enter retail stores, leaving your eye twitching as you attempt to fight the crowds and make appropriate purchases for your loved ones.
Still, I love Christmas time. I put my 3 foot high Christmas tree up the other night, and every time I look at the tree, it just makes me happy.
So, with all of this, enjoy the countdown to Christmas and although everyone is busy, tired and just about had enough, try and get into the Christmas spirit.
Only 15 days to go people!
